design for a theoretical pavilion to be erected in lincoln park. this was designed as a partner to Henry Terrien’s pavillion/sound stage.
choosing to build in a body of water, i wanted to maintain the naturalistic and simplistic style in both the materials and actual look of my pavilion. i want the pavilion to age and grow with the enviornment surrounding it. the top is mimicking the shape of a wave, again relating to the water, and the copper sheeting will age and weather, bringing the bright orange metal closer and closer to the green color surrounding the pavilion in the park.
